Effective 17 July 2026 · WrenTax is operated by UniBookTrade Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17019570).
1. What WrenTax is — and is not
WrenTax is software that prepares statutory filings from information you provide and from the public register, shows you the exact documents to be filed, and transmits them to Companies House and HMRC when you authorise submission. WrenTax is not an accountancy firm and does not give tax, accounting or legal advice. Questions of judgment — including whether your company qualifies as dormant, or whether a cost is allowable — are yours to answer, with professional advice if you are unsure.
2. Your contract is with your company
The service is provided to the limited company whose filings you prepare, and these terms are a business-to-business contract with that company. By using WrenTax you confirm you are authorised to act for it (for example as a director).
3. Your responsibilities
- The information you enter must be accurate and complete. The documents we generate are built from it.
- You must review each document before authorising submission — we show you exactly what will be filed, before payment.
- You must hold the authorisations the registers require (for example your company's HMRC enrolment and Companies House authentication code).
- Statutory deadlines remain your company's legal responsibility. WrenTax helps you meet them; it does not transfer them.
4. What we commit to
- We transmit only what you have reviewed and authorised, and only when you authorise it.
- Your dashboard reflects the registers' actual responses — acceptances and rejections alike. We never present a submission as filed when it was not.
- If a submission is rejected, we show you the register's reasons and you can correct and resubmit without paying again.
5. Fees and refunds
Fees are shown before payment and exclude VAT. While UniBookTrade Ltd is not VAT-registered no VAT is charged; if that changes, VAT will be added and shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not hold your card details. If a filing you paid for is rejected by a register and cannot be made acceptable by correcting and resubmitting, we refund that filing's fee in full. The refund covers our fee; it does not cover government fees a register has already taken, or the underlying tax and penalties, which remain the company's own obligations.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that:
- Our total liability arising from or in connection with the service is capped at the fees your company paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete information you provided, from decisions of HMRC or Companies House, from errors in the public register, or from the unavailability of the registers' own services.
7. General
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to account holders and apply to filings authorised after the change. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: alex@unibooktrade.co.uk. See also our privacy policy.
